As we enter the new year, I pause in gratefulness for all that God has done over the past year through Vi Bella Jewelry. As I reflect, YOU are the team to thank for making such an incredible difference. The impact of your hard work has changed the lives of our artisans and their families, our site managers and our employees. Along the way we created beautiful jewelry together that made lives more beautiful.
We are blessed with so many committed team members and are so very grateful for all that you do to stand behind our mission. Thanks for making the 2014 Holiday season, and the whole year shine brightly.
As I look to the horizon of the coming year, there are many exciting happenings that will launch Vi Bella to make an even greater impact in Haiti, Mexico, and here in the United States.
I want you to be the first to celebrate them with us!
• Our home office here in Iowa is bustling year-round with product selection and development. New jewelry collections are in production and we are constantly forging new local, national, and international partnerships. We also pray diligently each morning for the entire company and for all those we serve.
• In addition to providing full-time employment and a living wage to 30 artisans in Haiti and Mexico, we provided good jobs in an encouraging environment for women in the USA who were referred to us from transitional housing situations or women’s shelters.
• Vi Bella empowered many other artisans in Haiti and Uganda by partnering with like-minded artisan groups to market their goods.
• We finished construction on a new building in Haiti that our artisans will be able to move into and work in soon.
• We helped send 40 children to school by supplying school sponsorships in Haiti.
As an organization-wide initiative in 2015 we are focusing on gratitude and recognizing the beauty all around us. Each center, group, and individual who is part of Vi Bella Jewelry is being encouraged to keep an informal journal. This is a simple exercise, listing a few beautifully things that we discover each day. We look forward to capturing these moments as way for us to focus together on the beauty to be found all around us. We look forward to hearing YOUR stories of beauty and sharing them with our supporters. Together we can focus our efforts on telling beautiful stories of redemption.
We have a printable to download HERE that you can use for this!
Thank you for bringing the Vi Bella mission to life.
