What a year 2013 has been for Vi Bella!  I am filled with joy and gratitude as I reflect on all the ways God has poured out blessings on and though this ministry in the past twelve months.  Thank you to all of you who have shared the love of Christ with someone in need because of your partnership with Vi Bella in some way.  Here’s a look back.
-Vi Bella has sustained well paying, full time jobs in two centers in Haiti and one in Mexico for the past year.

-All three international centers were able to hire more employees this year.

– Because of generous gifts from friends of Vi Bella, every school aged child of our Haitian artists was sponsored to attend school this year.  One of our Vi Bella artists even attended journalism school herself.
-Vi Bella jewelry fundraisers earned money to help build two of our Vi Bella artists who were living in unsafe conditions better homes.
-Vi Bella formed new partnerships with two wonderful organizations in Haiti, Haitian Creations, and the Apparent Project, and helped sustain jobs for their workers by marketing their fine products.

– We sold products created by two local artisan groups in Haiti, providing good income for their families.
-Vi Bella partnered with two orphanages to help teach sewing and job skills to older girls who will be transitioning out soon.
-We were able to start adult literacy classes in Simonette, Haiti on a small scale.
-In the US, our team has grown.  Our leadership team has had some wonderful additions this year.  God has provided intelligent, creative, dedicated people who are helping Vi Bella develop in amazing ways.
-Many new sales consultants have joined our team.  Our sales consultants directly impact the lives of Vi Bella artists.  They help sustain our artists’ employment by selling the beautiful products they create.
-We have had numerous wonderful individuals and organizations host parties and events to sell Vi Bella and spread the work of our mission.
These are only a few of the many blessings we have watched unfold over the past year.   We have also been faced with many challenges.  Doing business in developing countries is difficult, and I must admit that I have spent sleepless nights and countless hours in prayer.  As I reflect back, however, I can see clearly that God has been in control of all of it.  He has had a great plan for Vi Bella from the beginning, a plan that blesses His children.  I praise Him for all He has done, and find great peace in this as I look forward in anticipation to what He will do in 2014. I have big hopes for Vi Bella.  God-sized hopes that include blessing many more people in the name of Christ.
God has a great plan for you, too.  You can trust that He will be faithful to bring about His good purposes in your life, even if it is difficult to see at the moment.  Hope!
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  Romans 15:13
